Rating: Brief: Well Worth the Money - Great Quality - Easy for Toddler to Ride Comment: We bought this for our 2 1/2 year old. She never had a tricycle before this 2-wheel with training wheels. She was SO excited when she received it, even though she was not quite coordinated enough to ride it initially. It is a high quality, heavy bike - but its design allows her to get on it without help and we don't worry about her hurting herself on a 'top tube' (the highest bar on the main bike frame) or get clothes stuck in the chain (great chain guard on all sides). Less than six weeks later, she is able to pedal it by herself. Sometimes she gets stuck and asks for help, but we encourage her to stand on the tallest pedal and she is able to get 'un-stuck' by herself. (Read: it's not too heavy a bike). I LOVE the brightly colored paint scheme (that it is not gender-stereotyped princessy or the like).
Rating: Brief: Excellent! Comment: Very happy with this sturdy bike! Will never buy a cheap version again. The money spent on this one was well worth it!
Rating: Brief: Great Bike For Toddler Comment: We bought this bike as a Christmas gift for our three year old son. Since we live in Utah my son could not ride it outside during the winter months. However, as soon as the sun came out my son wanted to ride his "Bingo Bike" outside. We own a Kettler trike and swingset, and have been impressed with all Kettler products. The bike is very sturdy and is very colorful. I haven't had a problem with the bike -I highly recommend this bike for your little tike!
Rating: Brief: Fine- but I should have chosen a cheaper bike Comment: Kettler makes a heavy duty product. We loved our Kettler tricycle, and so we bought the bike, even though 12" bides can be had for half the cost. The verdict is-- this is a VERY sturdy bike. It is as attractive as the picture makes it seem. The covered chain and padded handle bar are great. HOWEVER, this bike weighs a ton. I think my 4.5 year old would have had an easier time learning to ride a lighter bike. He can do it, but this bike is very heavy. I'm not sure the studiness is worth the extra effort.
Another Flaw-- the training wheel nuts become loose ridiculously easily, making a horrible rattling sound until they are tightened again. Thank goodness we're done with training wheels! I thought I would lose my mind from the noise.
